Sometimes the Baltic Sea shows its rough side: with onshore winds, it can get fresh and uncomfortable at the beach. But there’s no need to stay indoors – around Geltinger Bay and along the Schlei, protected paths and hidden coves offer their special charm, especially on windier days.
Walking trails meander between fields, hedgerows, and small forests, often with beautiful views of the water – perfect for a short local route. Birker Noor, Wackerballig Beach, or Arnis on the Schlei are just a few suggestions.
